Fun

We went to Hartley today and had a blast. It took some convincing for Maddox to put clothes on, but once we were at Hartley, he was pumped. He even hiked farther than he ever has, which was nice to see. He even did a little tree climbing.

Fun on the dirt pile.

Hauling sticks.

Working on a fort. There is always a fort in progress here.

My parents came over for a BBQ. Craig cooked up some fabulous steak, salmon, burgers. It was delicious. Mmm.

Maddox and Pop got some story and snuggle time in.

A port on Maddox's feeding tube (the one that goes into his nose) kept leaking tonight. The cap popped off 4 times in an hour. I called the supply company, talked with the IV nurse on call, and she said the feeding tube will probably need to be changed. I am trying so hard not to freak out. Today Maddox was OK with me pushing the tube in a little bit without screaming for the first time, and he was so proud of himself. I do not want him to need a new tube. I really don't. Just another opportunity to give it over to God ;)

The plan for Maddox's feeding tube is this:
Use it for 24 hours, filling it every 4 hours. On the 14th we'll go to our Dr. and get a weight check, then slowly start increasing the amount of formula he gets so he can get the feeds overnight. Actually he'll be on the feeding pump for 15 hours. So he'll probably sleep 11 hours, then have the pump on when he naps (2-3) hours and then for an extra hour or two in the morning. If he gains weight and grows well, he should be off the pump at the end of November (right before his birthday). It will be nice not needing to use the backpack during the day.

So that's the plan. And hopefully, it all goes smoothly.

Maddox (running out of the bathroom without any pants on): "Mason!! The food is making my peanut grow bigger!!!!"
Mason:"yay."
