take a gander at these pictures of Maddox with his new 'do. Both he and Mason had haircuts today.

the after photo. A mini-Mason. They look like twins born 5 years apart.

i sort of miss the long locks on Maddox, but he is so much more comfortable. He hasn't been scratching his head or back of his neck since the haircut. I hope this helps with his low tolerance for frustration. He did great with the clippers at the salon and sat very still (a miracle). And true to the nature of his sensitive skin, he broke out in hives all around his neck and face from his hair falling all over as it was cut.
After his haircut Mason said:
"Wow! He looks like he is 15 years old!"
"Hey! He looks like me!"
"This is the first time I have seen his ears!"
"He is a new person. He looks like a new boy, but looks like himself"
"I forgot he got his haircut mom and he surprised me. He looks new from the back."
Poor Maddox was confused when looking at pictures of himself today. He kept pointing at the picture of himself with the new haircut and said "May May" (his words for Mason) and "Dada". Hopefully he won't have an identity crisis.
Today was so nice out, we decided to stay outside and get the pools out. It was Mason's 1st official day of 1st grade, but we didn't do much book work. Since we are studying Lewis and Clark, we are able to use the great outdoors as our classroom! I love it!!

they TOTALLY look like twins. SO cute, both of them.
A-dor-a-ble. Siblings that look alike. What a concept. Randy and I? Our DNA didn't get that memo.....It's that whole 'we can't do anything normal' thing that we have going on here. =)
