Bedtime while camping

This is how Maddox was at bedtime for over 2 hours both nights. Just too excited to settle down.

Some conversations we had during these times:

Craig: Jolee, Can I do anything to help or get you anything?

Jolee: Do you happen to have a tranquilizer gun?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Craig: Pretty soon someone is going to call the Park Ranger.

Jolee: Well, if they do, tell them to call animal control as well.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jolee: Maybe next time we could bring Sophie's collapsible dog kennel?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jolee: Craig, can you bring the camera into the tent?

Craig: Why, are you taking a video for America's Funniest Home Video?

Jolee: No, taking video for Mutual of Ohama's Wild Kingdom.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Jolee: Maybe we should call Marty Souffer in from Wild America. Maybe he could help.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jolee:( in a loud whisper) Maddox Joseph! No more screaming or I will take your pacifier away!

Maddox: (in a loud whisper) gadapba jagacma laalaba!!!! whooooo!!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maddox did a lot of hearing-loss inducing, glass-breaking, earth-shattering shrieking as well. i couldn't get that on the video though. He sounded like one of those shrieking monkeys. I think the screech owls answered back a couple of times.

Along with the shrieks, Maddox also entertained us with a rousing rendition of "Jesus Loves Me" followed by enthusiatic clapping and "yays!" from Maddox.

He also threw his water bottle full of water and pegged Craig in the head and knocked the camera out of my hand (that is why the video goes black for a moment).

We did have a lot of fun, and I will give little installments here and there. I want to remember everything and get it down for scrapbooks later.
