Getting back to "normal" over here

Things are slowly getting back to normal here. Today was Maddox's first day of feeling pretty good! He was smiling and playing his kazoo, and being loud--and full of spunk and silliness. It was heavenly to see!! He is still really tired, and his appetite isn't coming back as fast as I would like to see it come back, but he is eating more. YAY!!! Today the boys and I went to Menards for a small outing and had so much fun!! We bought a couple seed packets and hope to start them soon.

Below are a few random shots of our day and yesterday:

Maddox painted this picture. I put the watercolor paint on the brush and he painted it. His first painting!

OK, the driveway on the right is our neighbors, on the left is ours. Our glacier--I mean snowbank--was higher than theirs and I shoveled it all. It was that wet, heavy snow. All around me were people snowblowing...all wimps I say!! (However, I would have used a snowblower if ours was usable). It was quite the workout and took about an hour. Even Mason wouldn't help because "it was too hard of work mom" and he LOVES shoveling!

Here it is, all nice and clean.

It was actually snowing again today!! A mini snowstorm!

Mason's snow hill. Before yesterday, it was almost gone.
Our almost healthy guy rockin' with his kazoo.
Before his haircut (looks like a mug shot)
After his haircut..he looks so grownup

Ahhhh, our happy little guy!! Haven't seen one of these smiles in many, many days

We just love him! (he still needs a haircut)

And we love him too!!! (catching snowflakes on his tongue)

Just being brothers. I love watching these two together when they are enjoying each other.

Hey Jules! Did you see Micheal started a blog (called the Junk Drawer - it's linked off mine) and he posted pictures of he and Grace planting outside in milk cartons. It sounds like something you might like to do with Mason. Here's the link we got the idea from:
