My two Nanooks of the North.
We have been very busy adding color to our home inside and out with Valentine crafts. Every morning Maddox is asking "What are we going to make today?" I love it!
Ice ornaments the boys made.
The hearts were made by freezing water in a homemade heart shape made out of aluminum foil. I could not get the foil off though. The orbs were made by freezing balloons filled with water. We added food coloring to one ballon, but it was very messy and I almost ruined our new bathroom sink. We did these during that cold weather. I figured we might as well make the most of it.
these are the balloons freezing up before we ripped them off the ice.

This is their "Loving Heart" Every time I see them do something kind or loving, they get to tape a heart up onto their heart. I just paperpunched the hearts out of a variety of paper and a deck of cards (the cards was an idea from another blog) and come to think of it, I could use old greeting cards too....hmmm....paper punches and greeting cards....lots could be done with those I bet!

This wreath was from a blog, but I can't remember where and I don't know all the legalities of referring to others' stuff. yet. Mason and I paper punched a deck of cards, paint chips (we have a WHOLE TON of them from my Dad) and scrapbook papers. Then wrapped twine around the grapevine wreath and just tucked the hearts in. I had read on another blog that they used the paint chips for something else (I can't remember what) so I figured we could use our paper punch. And with so many colors to choose from it was fun! The boys like doing valentine crafts, but are not always thrilled with just using red and pink. I think I am going to be stocking up on paper punches of various shapes. I see a glorious future with them!

Voila! A Valentine wreath! And since glue was not involved, we can take out the hearts and use it for St. Patrick's Day!
We have been giving Maddox Melatonin at night (with his Dr's advice and consultation) and it has been a miracle! He is asleep by 8:30, sleeps through the night, is happy, eating more, able to focus and PLAY and doesn't ask for the pacifier nearly as much or have as many meltdowns. He is still 3 and has his tantrums, but they are nowhere near the extreme they were. Our house is a different house and I am a different person. It is fun to see who Maddox is because he is not so whiny and cranky. (not that he doesn't have his moments. he is still an instense little guy). Overall, our house is becoming more peaceful and I happy for that!(of course as I am typing this he is not napping and keeps calling for Mason...but knowing he will be asleep tonight makes it not so bad)

I love the wreath with al the funky hearts! Super creative! Looks like lots of fun stuff going on over there.
Those hats are super cute and I love all of your art projects. Can we all come and live with you and you can homeschool my kids, too? I promise to yell at you while you exercise?!
p.s. hope the little guy sleeps like a rock tonight.
Thank you Kathy. I wish I could take credit for it, but the idea was from another blog.
Steph-- Yes!! That would be great! And I would love for you to yell at me while I exercise. And he was asleep by 7:30 and slept until 7:30 this morning.
