Mason painted a picture the other day and it reminded me of Jackson Pollock's work.
(how this little tid-bit of info resurfaced in my mind from my Art History class I will never know. Maybe it has something to do with the sleep deprivation)
So we looked up some of Mr. Pollock's work online and talked about his technique and abstract art. Then we got out the paint, paintbrushes, table cloth and Mason went to town!
Abstract art is the perfect thing for a perfectionist child!! Mason had a blast with it and would like to paint with Jackson P.
That's what I love about homeschooling. Seeing him have so much fun learning and being involved in it and doing all these fun projects. I really don't have much to complain about (even though I still do :) )
