Mason turned 6 on Wed, Nov 5th!!
We had a wonderful, simple day. He wore a crown all during school, and had a scavenger hunt to find 6 birthday cards (just simple homemade ones from scrapbook paper and stickers), ate Rice Krispies with sprinkles for breakfast, sang "happy birthday" at least 10 times, put together a wooden dinosaur model and he opened 1 present before Craig got home.
It was such a simple day. A couple streamers were on his chair and a "Happy Birthday" banner was up, but you would have thought Mason had gone to DisneyLand. I was so grateful God was able to show me how things can be simple and yet still be wonderful. Mason and I truly enjoyed the day together and he had a blast. i had been feeling bad because we hadn't gotten him much for gifts, the house wasn't all decorated, and yet none of that mattered. A friend of mine had posted a video on her blog about Christmas and spending less money and more time with people, and I really saw how that applied on Wed. So...no one is getting any Christmas gifts this year!! :)

A Birthday cupcake fit for a king
Opening presents. I had lost the wrapping paper the night before. I had found it, brought it up from the basement, and then lost it. i just found it today (Fri) and it was on a wierd shelf in the basement on top of the drill. So I had to wrap his presents with newspaper. He got a kick out of that, and I was doing my part to be green
Mason was so excited for his birthday! We told him after supper he could open the rest of his presents. Just as we were sitting down, Dominic called and Mason said to him: "I have to eat supper now! Bye!" Then at supper he ate one piece of pizza and said "Mom, I am full. I can't eat anything else. I am too excited to eat!" For him to turn down pizza is a huuuge thing! I just love how they get older! and then not so much. Wasting no time to get started on the legos:
Finished!
Finished!
A birthday call from Gianni!:
Maddox just dying to get to the crown:

I really think there is something wrong with our computer. I do not have a box to choose a different font anymore, the fonts just change on their own, half of the time I can't get text between the pictures and when I am trying to put spaces between 2 pictures, it puts the spaces somewhere else. It is a complete pain to post pictures and text on here, so the next few posts may be just pictures and no words.

Oh, Happy Birthday to your sweet boy. I love that you had such a nice day with him even though it wasn't a big bash. That is really sweet and inspiring. :)
I have just spent the last 15 minutes looking at all these new pictures, for some reason they all showed up as new posts today.
Anyways, your kids are adorable as always and I will call you this week.
I can't believe Mason is six! Please give him a big hug from us. xoxo
