Bad Santa?

When we had Mason and MAddox dedicated, my mom bought Mason this really neat Bible. It has questions kids ask throughout the Bible and then answers the questions....this piece of information is important to know for the following story.

So, a couple of weeks ago I was washing dishes, and Mason comes into the kitchen and says:
"Mom, Santa is evil and wants to take God's place and rule the world!!!!"

ME: Mason, Santa is not evil and he does not want to do that.
MASON: Mom, yes he is!!!! And he is EEVIL!! He wants to rule our whole world and he wants to take God's place! That is evil!!
ME: Mason, where did you hear this? Who told you this? That is not true. People like to pretend Santa comes and gives presents. He is nice, not evil.
MASON: It is true!! I read it in my Bible!!
ME: Are you sure? The Bible doesn't talk about Santa honey. He isn't in the Bible.
MASON: My Bible does!! It said so in that cartoon part.
ME: Are you sure it said Santa was evil?
MASON: YES! It said Santa is evil and wants to take God's place and rule the world.
ME: (lightbulb finally going off) Honey, Satan wants to take God's place and rule the world. Satan is evil, not Santa.
MASON: Mom, my Bible said Santa was evil, not Satan. Santa!!
ME: How was Santa's name spelled?
MASON: S-a-t-a-n
ME: Oh, that spells Satan, not Santa. Santa is spelled S-a-n-t-a.
MASON: OOOOHHHH!! Satan is evil. Santa is not!

so, a couple weeks after that conversation I got a phone call from my friend.
She was confirming that her daughter was coming to play with Mason (she is Mason's best buddy). Then she told me.."the last time N was over at your house (it had been 2 weeks) she came home and tole me Mason told her Santa was evil and wanted to take God's place and rule the world. I know you don't do the Santa thing, but that doesn't sound like anything you would say. N was pretty upset by it and thought Santa was evil."

I almost died!!! Apparently he talked to his friend before he talked to me. So I asked Mason if he remembered when he thought his Bible said Santa was evil. He did. And I told him, "Well, we need to talk to N about that and tell her Santa isn't evil". Mason's reply "Yeah Mom, I made a REALLY BIG mistake!!"

Little evangelist in the house!! We'd better make sure he has all his facts straight!!!
